Oil exports top 50m barrels in March

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq exported 56.3 million barrels of crude oil in March 2009, achieving an increase of nearly 6 million barrels in comparison to the previous months. “Oil revenues in March reached $2.889 billion,” a statement released by the National Media Center quoted Oil Ministry Spokesperson Asem Jihad as saying. Basra’s ports exports of oil reached 43.21 million barrels during the previous month, while Kirkuk exports were 13.1 million barrels, Jihad pointed out.
