Oil ministry to set up corporation in Thi-Qar – minister

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Oil Minister Hussein al-Shahrestani said on Sunday that the ministry will make some restructuring to set up an organization in Thi-Qar, to function as a nucleus for a local cooperation in the province. “There are some plans to establish similar organizations in other oil-producing provinces,” Shahrestani told IraqiNews.com news agency. He pointed out that the expanding oil activities in Iraq could lead to setting up a new Iraqi corporation so that “we may have four in addition to the South Oil Company, the North Oil Company and the Missan Oil Company”.
