PB OKs law on Japanese loan

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Presidential Board (PB) on Wednesday approved a law related to a Japanese loan given to the Iraqi government, according to a presidential statement. “Today, the council ratified the law approving the two two-way messages, memorandums and the minutes of the meetings, signed in Baghdad on June 29, 2008 by the Iraqi minister of finance and the Japanese ambassador to Iraq,” read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The law is related to a 36.407 billion yen loan offered by Japan to finance two water and sewage projects in Iraq’s Kurdistan region and Baghdad. SS (P) 1
