Plan to clear oilfields of war debris

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Missan’s Oil Company has set out a plan to clear oilfields along the Iraqi-Iranian borders of war debris with the aim of boosting oil production in the province, the company’s media director said on Wednesday. “In cooperation with Defense Ministry’s Military Engineering, Missan’s Oil Company has developed a plan to clear some oilfields along the border with Iran…,” Ali Abbas Sadiq told IraqiNews.com news agency. Missan’s production of oil reaches 110,000 barrels per day (bpd). Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs. SS (P) 1
