Russian, Japanese companies win 10th oil exploration block in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Two companies from Russia and Japan won the 10th oil exploration block in the 4th oil licenses round held by the Ministry of Oil. IraqiNews.com correspondent reported “The Russian (Luk oil) Company and the Japanese (Ankis Koprisn) Company won the 10th oil exploration block which extends between Dhi Qar and Mothanna provinces , within the 4th round of oil licenses bid held by MoO which has started its works, yesterday, Wednesday and lasted for two days ending today, Thursday.” He added “The Russian Company’s share of investment in the mentioned site, is 60% while the Japanese company’s share is 40%.” According to the MoO, the area of the block is (5500) sq, meters.
