Singaporean company considers investment in Basra

BASRA / Aswta al-Iraq: A delegation comprised of representatives of a Singaporean company has discussed with Basra’s governor the establishment of a luxurious hotel in the city. “The governor of Basra, Shaltagh Abboud al-Mayyah, has welcomed the project and offered to provide all facilities…,” a local media source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The five-star hotel will be built on the current Novotel al-Marbad Hotel headquarters, which was destroyed during the previous wars, the source explained.
