State company develops drip irrigation technology

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The state-run al-Numan Company has applied international standards to develop its drip irrigation systems, the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals said on Sunday. “The new systems will help peasants by increasing water availability to the plants,” according to a ministry statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The company has drawn up plans for a number of future projects, including a project to produce plastic covers and garbage bags, the statement noted. SS (P) 1
