Symposium in Najaf to discuss wheat production, quality

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: The Najaf Agricultural Department held on Saturday a symposium on wheat cultivation and means to ameliorate the crop’s quality. “There is a growing interest in the wheat crop so that fields would be cost effects and produce high-quality pure crop, particularly in light of the new prices set by the cabinet for strategic crops,” the department director, Mohammed Radi, told IraqiNews.com. He said many professors, agronomists and farmers attended the event that was held in association with the General Authority for Agricultural Extension & Cooperation and al-Kufa University.
