Technical glitch stops Iraq-Turkey oil pipeline

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi oil exports to the Turkish port of Ceyhan stopped due to a technical breakdown, according to a source from the North Oil Company on Saturday. “The technical failure is on the Iraqi side of the pipeline,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that exports had stopped for two days last month due to technical problems on the Turkish side. “The produced amount from the oilfields in Kirkuk prior to the stoppage was 640,000 barrels per day while the exported amount was between 350,000 and 400,000 bpd,” the source added.
