4th oil licenses round bid finalizes
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The fourth oil licenses round bid ended, and three exploration blocks have been won the bids out of 12 blocks. IraqiNews.com correspondent mentioned “Today, Thursday session of the 4th round witnessed displaying six exploration blocks for oil and gas,” referring that “At the beginning of the session, the Pakistani company won the 8th gas exploration block which extends between Diyala and Wassit provinces.” “While the Russian (Luk oil) Company and the Japanese (Ankis Koprisn) Company won the 10th oil block between Dhi Qar and Mothanna provinces,” the correspondent added. It is worth mentioning that “A coalition of three companies from Kuwait, Emirstes and Turkey has won the exploration block which is located in Basra province alongside the Iranian-Iraqi borders during the first session of the bid which has been held yesterday, Wednesday, in the Ministry of Oil’s headquarter.”
