Thi-Qar’s INIC grants 3 investment permits at ID2b+

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: The Iraq National Investment Commission in Thi-Qar granted on Thursday three permits to set up medium-sized trade malls in the province at a cost of more than 2 billion Iraqi dinars (ID), $1.750 million, according to the INIC chief. “We have offered three investment permits for businessmen from the province to build trade malls. The permits are of a span of 35 renewable years,” said Iyad Khudeir in statements to IraqiNews.com news agency. “The malls will be set up in the city of al-Nassiriya and its districts like Souk al-Shyoukh and al-Islah,” he added. He said that the al-Salimiya grand mall, to stand over 2,586 square meters in al-Nassiriya, will be composed of a one-storey building that comprises 104 shops and nine trade offices and clinics. The Thi-Qar INIC has proposed an investment plan of 300 investment projects in the province. So far it has offered four investment contracts, the last one of them was for an Iraqi investor to recycle waste. “These projects should provide 450 job opportunities,” Khudeir noted. Nassiriya, the capital city of Thi-Qar province, lies 380 km south of Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
