UN expresses readiness to help Iraq in water field

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The political advisor of the UN special envoy to Iraq, Ambassador Gerard Samprana, expressed the UN readiness to help Iraq through international experiences in the water issue, according to an official statement. This came during a meeting between the prime minister’s advisor for agriculture and water and Ambassador Samprana on Thursday. “The two officials discussed the environmental and social effects of the lack of water and climate change,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The Iraqi official asked the UN advisor to help Iraq through international experiences in the fields of water resources management and the international law specialized in he joint regional water.
