Iraqi Parliament convenes with 240 MPs presence

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Parliament has held its normal session on Tuesday, under chairmanship of its Speaker, Usama al-Nujeify, and attendance of 240 out of its 325 members.   “The Parliament began its normal session, led by its Speaker, Usama al-Nujeify and attendance of 240 Members, to vote on the draft-law for the salaries of the Members of the Three Leading Chairmanships, and the hosting of the Chairman of the Haj (pilgrimage) Commission,” IraqiNews.com news agency’s correspondent reported on Tuesday.   He said that the “Parliament session’s schedule for Tuesday includes voting on the draft-law on the salaries and allocations of the Three Leading Presidencies, presented by the Parliament’s Financial & Legal Committees, along with the voting on the draft-law for the Education Ministry and the discussion of the government’s program with the Ministers of Labor & Social Affairs and the Municipalities & Public Works, as well as the hosting of the Chairman of the Haj (pilgrimage) Commission.”   The three leading Iraqi Chairmanships represent the Iraqi Presidency, the Council of Ministers and the Parliament.   SKH (IT)
