Kirkuk official denies receipt of compensations by deported people in Province

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The Chairman of the Fact-Finding Commission in northern Iraq ’s Kirkuk Province and northeastern Iraq ’s Khanaquin Office of Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution has denied on Monday the receipt of any cheques to compensate deported people and those who returned to the City.   “Agreement has been reached with the Chairman of the Higher Committee for Article 140 to organize cheques for all offices in different provinces to receive the first payment for the current phase, including 1,200 cheques, along with Khanaquin’s cheques,” Mohammed Khalil al-Jibouri told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that “no cheque had been written or received till now, in the event of which their arrival would witness their distribution in Kirkuk and Khanaquin.”   Jibouri, at his rank as the Chairman of the Technical Committee in Kirkuk , Member of the Higher committee for Article 140 and the Chairman of Khanaquin’s Bureau, has denied receipt of any cheque to compensate Khanaquin’s Bureau, as announced by media sources.   He said that the cheques would be distributed in Khanaquin, upon their arrival and the same would be published in the Iraqi mass media.   In conclusion, Jibouri said that the distribution of cheques had arrived its 27 th stage, as regards to the deportees and the 14 th stage regarding to the deported people, who returned to their home towns.   Kirkuk , 280 km to the northeast of Baghdad , is considered among the areas under-conflict between the Central Government in Baghdad and the government of Kurdistan Region in Arbil.   SKH (RT)
