Kurdish NGOs denounce Turkish bombings

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A number of non-governmental organizations and federations in Kurdistan denounced today the Turkish bombings on the Kurdish border villages, at a time to prepare for demonstration due tomorrow.   Civil activist Bulent Mustapha, participating in the anti-bombing campaign, told IraqiNews.com that ” a peaceful demonstration shall be organized tomorrow before the Turkish consulate in Arbil to denounce these actions”.   The Kurdish bordering villages are suffering Turkish bombings for the last week, which led to killing eight Kurds.   Ankara said that the attacks were against PKK targets inside the Iraqi Kurdistan.   Kurdistan Students’ Federation, affiliate to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, announced a campaign to collect signatures to be delivered to the UN Office in Arbil in protest for the bombings.   On the other side, the Kurdish NGOs Council , comprising 140 organizations and federations, called to boycott Turkish commodities and companies and demanding both Turkish and Iranian governments to compensate the damages.   RM (TI)/SR 571
