Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The Migration and Displacement Directorate in Anbar province announced that 1480 Syrian refugees arrived to Anbar so far. A source in the Directorate cited to IraqiNews.com that “These refugees arrived to the province across Qaem border post which is one of two border crossings that the Iraqi Government decided to open to receive the refugees after the escalation of the violence in Syria between the regular army and the opposition armed groups.” He confirmed that “The Iraqi and Syrian families still arrive continuously to Anbar over Qaem post towards the province.” Earlier, the Minister of Migration and Displacement set up camps to house the Syrian displaced people. But, a security source mentioned to IraqiNews.com that “The number of the camps is insufficient to accommodate all the displaced Syrian families therefore the new refugees were transported to the buildings of the dormitories of Qaem Education College.” It is worth to mention that several cities in Syria witness over more than a year violent acts between the Syrian Army and militants besides people uprisings which demand changing the current regime.
