15 Year in prison verdict issued against peculator

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Rusafa Criminal Court sentenced a fugitive for 15 years in prison in absentia who is convicted for embezzling a milk portion of the Ministry of Trade.The Judicial Authority reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The fled convicted embezzled the portion of milk allocated for ration card items where he was working as a driver within the Ministry of Trade tasked of transporting the portion from the sea port to the stores of the Ministry of Trade,” noting that ”The criminal was selling the milk portion for his own interest and presented fake receipts to his directorate.””The imprisonment verdict was issued according to the article (316) of the Iraqi Penal Code in absentia without possibility to appeal,” the statement concluded. \END\
