Babel vet. Hospital denies preventing importing reception of meat from Diwaniya, Muthana

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) The Veterinary hospital of Babel province denied reports over its decision to prevent receiving red meat from Diwaniya and Muthana provinces under the pretext of being Rabies infection.

The Director of the Veterinary hospital, Yahya Jasim Marie, reported to IraqiNews.com on Saturday ”The reports related to discovering rabies infections in Diwaniya and Muthana provinces are untrue,” stressing that ”Our hospital is committed to apply all terms concerning the transportations of meat between provinces and the meat can not be transported from a province into another until obtaining the medical test certification which is a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of diseases.”

News was reported that the veterinary hospital of Babel province issued strict instructions to prevent importing any meat from Diwaniya and Muthana provinces after recording rabies infections there. \
