CG exempts citizens from Electricity fees

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy chairman of the Oil and Energy Parliamentary Committee, Ali Dhari al-Fayadh, confirmed the approval of the Iraqi central Government to exempt the citizens from the obligatory fees for the Ministry of Electricity.

In a statement received by IraqiNews.com, MP Fayadh said “During our meeting with the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Tuesday morning, we submitted a suggestion to exempt the poor owners of houses from the fees and debts for the Ministry of Electricity,” noting that “The Prime Minister agreed to exempt all citizens from these fees.”

He added “the suggestion came due to suffering of the Iraqi citizens from such burdens,” appreciating the approval of the PM on this suggestion.
