Culture Ministry organizes celebration to honor female pioneer singers
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Women Committee within the Ministry of Culture will organize a special celebration under supervision of the Minister Undersecretary Fawzi al-Atrushi, to honor the female pioneer singers in Iraq, on July, 15th in the headquarter of the Ministry. A statement by the MoC cited “The celebration will host two generations of female singers, the pioneer singers and the young ones.” It added “The festival will also host a political activist as well as female deans and professors from universities to talk about their experiences and problems they face in their career where they will be awarded with appreciation certificates and gifts.” “Women working in the security forces will be invited to the ceremony while the Committee plans to launch literacy campaign for the females working in the Ministry under the banner (Literacy a step towards culture),” the statement concluded.
