Diwaniya Mayor denies reports over poisoned water-melon in Diwaniya

Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) The Mayor of Diwaniya City, Salem Halul Al-Aboudi, denied media reports over selling a poisoned crop of watermelon in the province brought from Salah-il-Din province.

He told the reporter of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) today that “We have proven that such a rumor is groundless since there is no case of poisoning among citizens in the city.”

For its part, the health Department of Diwaniya announced “The laboratory tests conducted on the crop sold in the city prove there is no poison contained or carried through these crops.”
