Diyala Education Directorate repairs 50% of damaged schools

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) The Diyala Education Directorate declared accomplishing the building and repairing the schools which were destroyed by the armed operations in the province during the past years.

The Director of Diyala Education Directorate Jafer al-Zarkoshi stated to IraqiNews.com that “The rebuilding operation has been accomplished for about 50% of the schools which were damaged due to terrorism between 2006 and 2008 in Diyala province.”

The Director added that “The funding of the reconstruction of these schools has been allocated by the local government and the Ministry of education,” noting that “The reconstructed schools number has reached (64) school.” \
