Dutch merchant jailed for supplying Saddam Hussein with chemicals

(IraqiNews.com) The global Dutch News Agency declared that the Supreme International Criminal Court in Hague, Netherlands issued a 17 year in prison and a fine for one million dollar against Frans van Anraat, the most famous Dutch merchant, on charges of participating and selling chemicals to the President of the former Iraqi regime Saddam Hussein.

According to the evidences and documents in the possession of the court, the Dutch merchant has sold the chemical gas and the poisonous mustard to Saddam Hussein who used it in bombing Halabja city.

The Dutch businessman Frans van Anraat supplied Saddam Hussein with the chemicals which he used to bomb Halabja in 1988 and killed five thousand Kurdish citizens at that time. \
