IMOS: Earthquake measures 5.2 on Ritcher Scale hits eastern Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismology announced that Earthquake measures 5.2 on the Ritcher Scale hit eastern Baghdad and Diyala is its center.

The head of the Seismological Centers, Abdul Karim Abdul Allah, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Earthquake happened at 9:51 and its center was Khanaqeen district of eastern Diyala and measures 5.2 on the Richter Scale.”

“The citizens in Sulaimaniyah, Kirkuk, Baghdad and Badra district of Wasit province in addition to Diyala noticed the Earthquake,” he added, expecting “Another Earthquake that will be less than this one.”
