Integrity Committee settles 1855 cases in 1st half of 2012

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Investigation Court specialized in investigating the corruption cases, has settled about 1855 lawsuits during the first half of the current year.

A statement by the Supreme Judicial Council quoted the Spokesperson of the SJC, Abdul Satar al-Birqdar, as saying “The settled cases witnessed rapid completion after referring the lawsuits from the investigators of the Commission to the courts related to the SJC.”

“The latest statistics sent to the Judiciary sides, included the earlier mentioned cases out of 2442 lawsuits which means that they are 76% of the total cases,” he added.

“This represents a remarkable achievement after the delay in settling cases over the past years,” he concluded.
