Iraq restores Saddam’s gilded sword from USA

Follow -up (IraqiNews.com) Iraq has restored the gilded sword which belonged to the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein from the United States of America.

The Iraqi Ambassador to Washington, Luqman Faili, received the sword after a decision from the US Authorities to return the sword to the Iraqi Government.

This rare and gilded sword was discovered at Saddam’s personal office after the US invasion to Iraq in 2003.

The sword was smuggled into the USA and was sold in a sale in New Hampshire State in 2012 to a historian who decided later to turn the sword to the US security authorities.
