Iraqi foreign ministry summons Turkish ambassador

BAGHDAD/ IraqiNews.com: Iraqi foreign ministry summoned the Turkish ambassador to Baghdad and informed him “its concern of the latest statements made by the Turkish officials”, as reported by its electronic site. Undersecretary Mohammed Jawad al-Douraki told the ambassador to “transmit Iraqi government concern and necessity to avoid whatever affecting bilateral relations”. The Turkish ambassador stated that “the Turkish statements had good intentions”, and promised “to inform his government about the Iraqi stand”, as reported by the site. Turkish premier warned last week of a sectarian war inIraq, and called all parties to heed of the consequences and logically think of the present situation in the country.
