Journalists Rights Defense Syndicate organizes campaign to stop violence against journalists

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Syndicate For Journalists Rights Defense called the Parliament and the Executive Authority to take legal and legislative procedures to put an end for violence against journalists .The Media Spokesperson of Journalists Rights Defense Syndicate, Nathism al-Kerli, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The Syndicate witnessed through its offices in the Iraqi provinces violence against journalists despite assertions by the Legislative and Executive Authorities to respect the press freedom and the journalist right in reporting information by activating the constitutional laws within this field.””The Syndicate called the press organizations and activists in press freedom field to participate in a campaign to practice a pressure on the concerned authorities to put decisive and deterrent procedures in combating violence against journalists,” the statement added. \END\
