Kurdistan RegionG allocates 9 billion IQD to solve water problems

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) Kurdistan Regional Government approved allocating a nine billion budget to solve the water problems in Kurdistan Region.

The media office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan quoted the Director General of Kurdistan Water and Sewers Directorate, Sahind Cerwan Ahmed as saying ”The Government allocated IQD (1,5) billion for Erbil Water Directorate and the same amount was allocated for Sulaimaniya Water Directorate while the share of Dohuk Water Directorate and Karman Water Directorate were IQD one billion for each.’

‘”The allocated budget will cover the expenses of establishing water networks and delivering potable water as well as the attempts to reduce water pollution and reforming damaged wells,” the statement added.
