Kurdistan RegionG, Italy sign MoU over granting scholarships for Kurd students

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Kurdistan Regional Government, Ali Said, signed a Memo of Understanding with the Italian ambassador to Iraq, Gerardo Karante, in order to provide facilitations and support for the nominees of the program of enabling the capabilities to study at Italian universities and scientific institutions.

The Minister stated to the website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) that “This MoU will contribute in promoting the program of enabling the scientific capabilities for which the government of Kurdistan Region allocated huge budget to prepare academic cadre,” expressing his happiness for this progress with the Italian Embassy.

The Italian ambassador stated that “This memo will provide (100) scholarships for students to study at the Italian universities and scientific institutions.”

According to the website “After signing the MoU, a meeting was held at the building of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to set the steps to implement the items of the memo.” \
