Kurdistan denies closing borders with Syria

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Interior Ministry of Kurdistan Regional Government denied on Sunday closing the borders with Syria.

A statement by the Interior Ministry cited “Unfortunately, some figures used to release untrue statements over closing the borders between Kurdistan and Syria, but we would like to stress that Kurdistan borders from the western side were not blocked in front of humanitarian issues and the sending of aids, so these news are groundless and they are mere political outbidding to delude the public.”

“Several TV channels from Kurdistan and other Channels had visited the borders and offered their reports about these news invalidity,” according to the statement.
