Kurdistan Region concludes agreements with international universities to explore relics

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Relics Directorate in Kurdistan Region has concluded an agreement with three American Universities and a French university for exploration for relics in Suran, Rawandoz and border areas of Erbil provinces.The media office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan quoted the Director of Relics Directorate, Abo Baker Othman, as saying in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”According to this agreement, a team of specialists will explore for relics in Suran, Rawandoz and Erbil cities and borders to protect the ancient treasures and to display it for citizens and tourists.””There are more than (3,150) archaeological areas in Kurdistan Region and they were maintained preparing to receive tourists,” he added. \END\
