Kurdistan Region to enjoy 24 hours electric power, says official
The Ministry of Electricity within Kurdistan regional Government assured that “The Kurdistan region will enjoy the electric power for 24 hours daily soon.”

Spokesperson of the Kurdish Ministry of Electricity, Diyar Baban, stated to Iraqi News “The Ministry started many projects financed from the Region’s Budget to increase the productive capacity of the Electric Power Generating Stations in Erbil, Sulaimaniya and Duhouk provinces.”

Baban added “Erbil Power Station will increase its production from 1000 into 1500 megawatts soon, while Jumjamal power station will also increase its production from 1000 into 1500 megawatts in addition to operating the power station in Suran district in Duhouk province with 200 megawatts capacity.”
