Maysan assures its ability to treat rain floods

Maysan, Ammara (IraqiNews.com) The manager of Maysan Irrigation Directorate, Kadhim Jalob al-Saedi, assured that ”The province can treat and deal with the huge amount of rain waters through the net of streams and natural reservoirs.”Saedi stated to the correspondent of IraqiNews.com ”The amount of rain waters reached (12 mm) during the last two days and there is not any notable increase in Tigris River level.””The Irrigation Directorate allocated three companies to open the dams to the rain streams and sub rivers,” he added.The Provincial Council of Maysan province formed a committee chaired by Maysan Governor, Ali Lazim Dawai, that contains all municipal directories in the province in order to develop a proactive plan to avoid floods that may occur in the province due to heavy rain falling. \END\
