Maysan Bridge collapsed before inaugurating it, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Karim Elewi of the Iraqi National Alliance revealed that the project of the Bridge in Maysan province has collapsed before its completion and that the reason of collapsing it is not related to sabotage but because of poor implementation.

Elewi told IraqiNews.com that “The Bridge project in the province is associated to the Ministry of Housing and Construction rather than the Governorate where the Ministry has referred the project to the implementing company and it remained two years in establishing this project, but the bridge has fell down before inaugurating it.”

“The Ministry has spent huge amount of money on this project, hence we call on the MoHC to investigate about the reason of this malfunction and punish the company,” he concluded.
