Maysan investment conference postponed due to heavy rains

Maysan, Ammara (IraqiNews.com) The Investment Commission in Maysan province decided to postponed the four days investment conference which was scheduled to be held in Erbil as of Monday.The Investment Commission reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The investment conference was postponed since the senior officials within Maysan local government are involved with the committee that was formed to avoid flood risks.”The Iraqi Meteorology and Seismology Organization expected the start of rain falling as of next Monday to reach its utmost level on Wednesday while an American Meteorological Observatory warned of floods due to heavy rains falling to hit the areas to the south and central Iraq as of next Monday till Thursday. \END\
