Millions of pilgrims expected to arrive in Karbala on Ashura

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) Karbala Provincial Council predicted more than 4 million pilgrims to arrive on Ashura day to the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and Imam Abbas in Karbala province.

The deputy chairman of Karbala PC Nisayif Jasim reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The number of the Iraqi pilgrims, who will arrive to commemorate the rituals of Ashura day, is predicted to exceed four million persons in addition to 400,000 foreign and Arab pilgrims.”

Karbala province has already prepared its medical and services plan in addition to developing security plan to provide the suitable environment for all pilgrims of Ashura day which will be dated next Sunday. \
