MoJ announces end of hunger strike

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Justice announced ending the hunger strike of the detainees in its prisons.The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Justice, Hayder al-Saadi, mentioned in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday ”Several detainees conducted a hunger stick in the prisons that belong to the MoJ but the administrate staff of the prisons acted wisely and professionally and managed to address this issue.””The strikers demanded to stop adopting the secret detective method and to conduct the trials of the prisons in their provinces in addition to accelerate the resolution of the detainees cases, ”he added.He pointed out ”The Ministry is not concern with the demands of the prisoners since they are related to investigational and judiciary authorities,” noting that “The Ministry is only demanded to provide food, health services and guidance which so far no prisoner complained against.” \
