Mosul’s detainees to retrurn from Kurdistan’s prisons

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Human Rights Committee Layla Reqani within Nineveh Provincial Council declared obtaining the approval to return some of the detainees of Mosul who are imprisoned in the prisons of Kurdistan region to Nineveh province.

Reqani stated to IraqiNews.com on Sunday that “The Committee of Human Rights exerted efforts through communicating with the detainees from Mosul who are detained in the prisons of Kurdistan Region and obtained the approval to return some of them from the prisons of Erbil into the prisons of Mosul city.”

She added that “Our last visit to the Security Director of Erbil and the cooperation of the security bodies from the Nineveh and Erbil provinces contributed in facilitating the return operation of the detainees soon,” noting that “She did not reveal the numbers of the detainees.”
