MP: Parliament rejects voting on law draft of Municipalities Ministry

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Fiyan Khalil, the head of the Parliamentary Services and Construction Committee, stated that the parliament rejected to vote on the law draft of the Municipalities Ministry.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, she said “The parliament rejected to vote on the law draft of the Municipalities Ministry because some political blocs aim at canceling this ministry in the future,” noting that “The Municipalities Ministry is still following some traditional laws.”

“The Services Committee suggests keeping the parliament endorsing the law drafts by granting the complete authorities to the general directorates in the provinces where the Ministry will have to follow only strategic policy,” she concluded.
