MP Reveals dispute over Iraqi national anthem

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Culture and Media Parliamentary Committee, Ali al-Shalah, revealed a dispute on the Kurdish part of the Iraqi national Anthem.Shalah reported in a press conference held at the Parliament building attended by the correspondent of IraqiNews.com ”The main conflict regarding the national anthem is that some Kurdish components want to add statements from their own original Kurdish accent in the Kurdish part of the Iraqi national anthem.””The law draft of the Iraqi national anthem was discussed on Thursday session and it was postponed by some MPs,” the statement added.”The conflict over the Iraqi anthem will be submitted for a vote in order to settle the issue of the Iraqi national anthem during the holy month of Ramadan,” Shalah concluded. \END\
