Nineveh denies reports over preventing Turkish pilgrims from crossing province

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The security forces of Mosul province denied the reports over preventing 200 Turkish pilgrims from entering the province on pretext of not being provided with visas.

A security source stated to IraqiNews.com on Sunday “Those Turkish pilgrims were prevented in last week by the Iraqi Government from crossing Arar border outlet in Anbar province,” referring that “The security forces in Mosul did not prevent those pilgrims from passing through the province as they were coming from Karbala province on their way to their country.”

“The news reported by certain media outlets about preventing 200 Turkish pilgrims is groundless,” the source added.

Earlier, some media outlet has reported that an army checkpoint prevented 200 pilgrims from heading towards Baghdad for not having visas from Iraq.
