Nineveh Governor reopens 7 years blocked street

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Nineveh Governor Atheel al-Nijaifi reopened today a commercial street which was closed for seven years due to insurgent activities in Mosul city.

A statement issued by the Media Office in Nineveh Governorate received by (IraqiNews.com) on Sunday cited that “Nineveh Governor Atheel al-Nijaifi reopened today Al Jamhoriyah commercial Street in the center of Mosul City,” noting that “The street passes by Nineveh Governorate building.”

“The opening of this street allowed cars to pass through it after seven years of blocking because of the insurgent activities that took place there,” the statement concluded.
