Oil prices’ collapse will encourage industry, says Abadi

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Thursday, that the collapse of oil prices will be a way to encourage the industry, while warned of attempts by some people to destroy all positive steps, stressing the seriousness of the government in the partnership between the public and private sectors.

During a meeting with a delegation of economic organizations for investment and reconstruction, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The country faces a serious challenge, along with terrorism, represented by lower oil prices, but the collapse of these prices will be a source of strength to encourage the industry and accelerate the reform steps.”

Abadi stressed, “We are serious in partnership between the private and the public sector.”
