People attack official’s motorcade in Ur neighborhood

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member, Saad al-Matlabi, of the State of Law Coalition revealed suffering a violent attack by people in Ur neighborhood while he was roaming to be acquainted with situation of floods in the area.Matlabi published on his personal facebook page that ”I headed towards Ur neighborhood and Shaab area to monitor the performance of municipal directorates in terms of draining the floods and heavy water in the area.”

”About five or seven persons attacked my motorcade and they destroyed the vehicle of the bodyguards and broke the glass of the vehicles, but the army forces intervened and launched some fire shots in the air to disperse the crowd,” he added.He continued saying that ”While we were returning, we underwent an ambush since some gunmen opened fire that hit two vehicles without any human casualties.””The investigations approved that there are sides desire to keep the political crisis for electoral purposes without paying any attention for Baghdadi residents who will remain the victim while we should all cooperate together to push forward the governmental efforts exerted for the favor of Baghdad residents,” he concluded. \END\
