Polio vaccination applied in Maysan

Maysan, Amara (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Environment and Health Committee in Maysan Provincial Council, Maythem al-Fartusi, declared the accomplishing vaccination campaign that targeted (165,705) children with the polio vaccine within the autumn plan which was applied in Maysan and lasted for five days.

Fartusi reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday ”The commitment of the staff of Maysan health department who participated in vaccinating this large number of children confirms insistence of the health department in Maysan province to clear the province from any deadly diseases and particularly from polio.”

The health teams in Maysan province are working nowadays to monitor and inspect the water containers and prevent selling uncovered food in streets to avoid cholera which registered some infections lately. \
