Roads, Bridges Ministry rehabilitates main road in Wasit

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Construction and Housing Mohamed al-Daraji announced the completion of rehabilitating Doboni-Jassan Road and set up the second lane for the entrance of Suwaira district as well as Suwaira Bridge in the province of Wassit.

Daraji said in a statement received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) today that “The Ministry and through the General Authority for Roads and Bridges completed a rehabilitation project and maintenance of 57 km Doboni – Jassan Road in Wassit province at a cost of [9.295] billion din ars, while work continues in the second project of establishing the lane through the entrance of al-Suwaira and bridge on the road.”

“The Doboni – Jassan road project was introduced within the ministry’s plan for creating second lane of the ways,” Daraji stressed, noting that “This road is one of the strategic roads in Wassit province since it connects Iraq’s borders with Iran and included the rehabilitation of the road, bridges along this road in addition to the rehabilitation of the Green Bridge and install shoulders along the way.”
