Services Committee stresses necessity of involving private sector in running service institutions

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parlaimentary Services Committee stressed the necessity of granting the private sector an essential role in running the service institutions.

The head of the Committee, Fiyan Khalil, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “While following up the activities of the service ministries, I have noticed that the capacities of those ministries are limited and cannot be compared to what Iraq needs,” noting that “After 2003 Iraq became destroyed and lacks the infrastructure where we need to have a construction revolutionary in the level of the neighboring countries.”

“The general budget did not grant the service sectors enough funds to achieve the required level of services where the government has to increase those funds to develop these sectors,” she concluded.
