Spread of Cholera in Kurdistan Region controlled, assures official
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Health Ministry of Kurdistan Region announced that “Authorities of Kurdistan Region managed to control the spread of cholera epidemic in the Region’s districts.”
A statement by Kurdistan Regional Government reported Minister of Kurdistan Region’s Health, Rika Hama Rashid, as saying Kurdistan Region Ministry of Health managed to control the spread of cholera disease,” noting that “The disease is under control.”
“The number of symptoms cases since the outbreak of the disease two weeks ago reached 2162 persons where the illnesses centered up in Sulaimaniya city,” the minister added.
Earlier, The Kurdistan Region Health Ministry announced on 29th last Sept forming an operation cell in all the Region’s areas to confront cholera disease after registering 15 illnesses.
