733 killed, 1230 injured in January, excluding victims of Anbar security crisis – UNAMI

UNAMI Announces human casualties in Iraq during past JanuaryBaghdad (IraqiNews.com) The United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq, UNAMI, reported that January casualties in Iraq reached 733 deaths and 1230 injuries.

UNAMI reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The number of civilians who were killed reached 618 persons while the injuries were 1,052 persons, including civil police elements. The human casualties among the security forces reached 115 deaths and 178 injuries,’ the statement added, noting that ”The human casualties do not include the victims within Anbar security crisis.”
